ROOM PARENTS (volunteer funded)
Plan class parties with other volunteers and decorate the teacher's door during teacher appreciation week
SEP DINNERS (PTA funded with some volunteer sides)
Be in charge of organizing dinners for teachers during parent teacher conferences, or sign up to bring a side.
YOU, ME & A BOOK (school run, PTA volunteers)
Help switch out books that go home with students. Opportunities daily for as much or little time as you need.
GREAT ARTIST PROGRAM (PTA funded and run)
Supplemental art appreciation program. Teach one 1-hr art lesson a month in your child's classroom. Supplies and lesson plans provided. No art background necessary.
ART SHOW (PTA funded and run)
Set up and work an incredible art show to showcase our student's artwork that they have completed through the GREAT ARTIST PROGRAM through the year.
DRAMA CLUB (PTA funded and run)
Provide many 4th-6th graders with their first taste of theater, providing drama classes, workshops, and a full school play to perform at the end of the year.
BOX TOPS (PTA volunteers - $ to the school)
Help collect and turn in box tops for our school. $0.10 per box top.
BULLETIN BOARD (PTA funded)
Decorating bulletin board in front hallway highlighting events and students.
BATTLE OF THE BOOKS (PTA run)
National reading competition. 3rd /4th and 5th /6th graders who choose to compete are given a list of books to read and are divided into teams. They have a few months to read the books. PTA volunteers run this program from beginning (passing out T-shirts and assigning teams) to end (each team competes with other teams to see who remembers the books best).
BOOK FAIRS (PTA staffed - $ to library)
Organizing and staffing Scholastic Book’s traveling bookstore. Gives kids and teachers a chance to buy new books. All proceeds go to the library.
FALL FUNDRAISER (PTA funded & run)
Help plan and run one of our fundraisers! Games, clothing drive and auction of school perks (like “principal for a day” and “name a hallway”).
MINI MARATHON (PTA funded & run)
Our VERY LOVED spring fundraiser. Register, or sponsor a runner. Get a swag bag and a yummy meal after your run! Volunteers get donations from companies, organize the run and carry it out.
RED RIBBON WEEK (PTA & school funded & run)
Drug addiction prevention activities and assemblies in a week long program.
REFLECTIONS (PTA run)
National PTA sponsored statewide art contest. Volunteers collect entries and select finalists, complete paperwork.
SPIRIT WEEK (PTA funded & run)
Organizing a week of celebrating our school. Each day has a theme for kids to dress up, and PTA gives prizes for participating.
TEACHER APPRECIATION WEEK (PTA funded & run)
Room parents decorate doors and classes make thank-you gifts for teachers. PTA provides treats and perks for the teachers throughout the week.
MATURATION (PTA funds treats & helps)
Maturation education for fifth and sixth graders. PTA helps with setup and refreshments.
6th GRADE GRADUATION (PTA funded & run)
Celebration party for our outgoing 6th graders.
Keep online presence (Facebook & website) updated with events and reminders.
VISION SCREENING (PTA volunteers)
Professional vision screening with volunteers helping to manage students.
School logo shirts designed by volunteers. Students are encouraged to wear school shirts or colors each Friday to show school spirit.
